Developments in our ME Space in Ireland

   









On this ME Awareness Day, we are delighted to update you about the developments in our ME space during the last year including details about the HSE's response to the ME Community’s incredible Open Letter campaign launched on May 12th, 2024, on behalf of individuals with Severe ME.


1096 people supported and signed the Open Letter to date, an astonishing achievement.

On behalf of the ME community in Ireland we would like to say thanks to those who have supported the ME community’s Open Letter campaign throughout the last year by signing the letter, leaving comments and sharing it with others.

News from the HSE


Summary


1. The Chief Clinical Officer is supporting the development of a HSE National ME Clinical Guideline.

2. The HSE National ME Clinical Guideline project has been set up and the important work is underway.

3. The HSE staff on the National ME Clinical Guideline Development project will engage with members of the ME community in Ireland.

4. The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) of the HSE has replied to the ME Community’s Open Letter.

5. The HSE staff on the HSE National ME Clinical Guideline development project have acknowledged the important points in the Open Letter
